Guy's Perspective of Twilight: New Moon

So, I got suckered into seeing New Moon about a week ago, and to be honest, the film sucked. The acting was about as dry as the Sahara desert. Stewart can act, I've seen it in other films, but in this film, its just so incredibly bland. Pattinson did one good thing in this film: maintained his role as a creeper. I have always found it creepy the way he would stalk Bella. And then he left, and.. well, I dont want to ruin the movie for anyone that hasn't seen it. The only actor that did well in this movie was Taylor Lautner. His part was played superbly, in my mind. Other than that, the movie was a waste of my eleven dollars and fifty cents.

My two cents,
Mike

The music scene today..

The music scene, and by scene i mean music in general, is quite disturbing. Music seems to have divided people, in the sense that there isn't very many people out there that listen to everything. People seem to either listen to one genre or another, sometimes two, but rarely more than that. People are conforming to other people's ways, saying they don't like a certain genre of music, simply because their friends don't listen to it either. It's really quite annoying. It makes you wonder, why would someone stop listening to a genre they enjoy simply because it's not "cool" to do so? For me, music is my life, I listen to all genres, everything from 1950's pop to electronica, and beyond. I try to listen to all genres, even if I don't particularly like that genre, because I can still respect the music. Music is not merely sound, its an art-form. It took a lot of time, and effort, to create each and every song we listen to. I hate seeing people instantly disregard an album simply because the artists' genre is on the opposite spectrum of what they listen to. And the music on radios is another thing that annoys me. Why do they repeat the same song over and over? In all honesty, it kills the song. And why are there no metal stations out there? People want to take the metal stations off the air, saying they are a bad influence and are too rough. And yet they don't want to take off all of the rap and hip hop stations, which seem to be playing songs about sex and drugs, and not in a negative way at all, all the time! It makes no sense, no sense at all. I don't think it ever will make any sense, I just wish people would take the time to respect music, and view it as an art, not merely something to be listened to.

My two cents,
Mike
